BBYC 2013 Fees

If you've been looking for a great place on the Bedford waterfront....then join the club!

The BBYC has been a part of the Bedford community and a landmark on the Bedford Waterfront for over sixty years. You don't need to own a boat or be an experienced sailor to become a member. You might want to learn how to sail...or if you have experience you can inquire about becoming a crew member on race nights.

The club offers year round activities in a friendly, family focused environment. Our home page is updated regularly with sailing and social events to which all members are invited! From from regattas and races to the Commodore's Ball, an annual Christmas party and other events throughout the year, the BBYC has a range of fun and interesting activities.

BBYC offers Military members a 20% reduction on all membership levels. This offer is available to those on active duty in Canadian Armed Forces or foreign forces, stationed in HRM, and at least 21 years of age.

There are different levels of membership available for all ages and interests. We encourage you to select the one that best suits you.

Crew - $150.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No recurring payments The Crew membership is for those members who have specifically joined for the sole purpose of crewing on a boat. The membership is active from April 1st through to the final race of the season (typically mid-October).

General/Social - $310.00 (CAD) Bundle (up to 2 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No recurring payments The General membership is for those members who do not require boat services. The membership allows full access year round during club hours as well as all social events. The general membership does not include a vote at the annual general meeting.

Intermediate - $220.00 (CAD) Subscription period: Unlimited The Intermediate membership is for any person of age 19 - 25. The membership allows full
access year round during club hours as
well as all social events. The intermediate
membership does not include a vote at the

Junior - $10.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No recurring payments The Junior membership is for any person eight years of age but under nineteen years who either has been approved by the Committee of Management or is the child of a senior member. Registration in a Learn to Sail program does not grant membership into BBYC.

Outport - $55.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No recurring payments The Outport membership is for any person whose normal residence lies outside a radius of 50km from BBYC and who has been approved by the Committee of Management

Senior (35 and over) - $680.00 (CAD) Bundle (up to 2 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: November 1st Automatic renewal (recurring payments) The senior member is a member who either is a boat owner, or is a member that doesn't own a boat however would like to maintain a vote at membership meetings. The senior membership allows full access to BBYC facilities and voting privileges. Additional Fees apply for boat storage, tender and marine services, age requirements and new member bonds.

Senior (under 35) - $425.00 (CAD) Bundle (up to 2 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No recurring payments The senior member is a member who either is a boat owner, or is a member that doesn't own a boat however would like to maintain a vote at membership meetings. The senior membership allows full access to BBYC facilities and voting privileges. Additional Fees apply for boat storage, tender and marine services, age requirements and new member bonds.

Student - $100.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: April 1st No recurring payments The Student membership is for those members in full attendance at a recognized educational institution and is between the ages of 19 and 24.
Membership is from April 1 until Oct 31.
