The countdown is on...as boats are arriving from the US, FRA, NFLD & other areas of CAN. The festivities are scheduled and crews are prepping.
The race start line will be created in Halifax harbour within sight of HMCS Sackville and the Maritime Museum. The scheduled time of the first warning signal for the race start sequence is at 1155. The race start will be viewable from the Halifax waterfront near the HMCS Sackville and the Maritime Museum. The Hon. J.J. Grant, CMM, ONS, CD (Ret’d) Lieutenant Governor, Province of Nova Scotia and Karine Claireaux, the Hon. Senator-Mayor of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, will be overseeing the official start along with Commodore George Archibald.
