After attending the Atlantic Sailing Conference in November a few years ago and hearing Nick Hayes, author of Saving Sailing, speak, Bedford Basin Yacht Club (BBYC)’s former Head Instructor was inspired to launch an initiative to engage more women in sailing. This will be our third year running this program, and it is something we love to do! 

It is for this reason that BBYC is revamping the Women’s Learn to Sail (LTS) program, and designating four weekends throughout the summer specifically aimed at getting women on the water, and gaining the confidence to sail and skipper boats. These weekends are designed to be fun, informative, and engage women throughout HRM.
